Washington Co., Va. terminates burn ban

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — The Washington County, Virginia Board of Supervisors voted to lift a burn ban in the county on Tuesday.

The ban had been in effect for around two weeks amid dry conditions and heavy wind.

A news release from the board said residents are still urged to burn debris safely and to keep in mind the commonwealth’s 4 p.m. burning law remains in effect until April 30.
